Climate change’s disappearing winters might feel great — but they are dangerous

Winter is missing in Colorado graphic
Winter has been virtually non-existent along Colorado’s Front Range this year.

Yes, I know, during the winter it can be rather nice to have milder and milder winters, but the long-term repercussions of disappearing winter are rather extreme and severe. These include, but are not limited to: Less snow, less moisture, less water, more parched forests, more forest fires and, of course, more death and severe economic costs.

This is true here in Colorado, where winter has been essentially MIA this winter of 2020-21– AND where it has been MIA in countless “winters” across the past 10+ years — as well as in many other places around the world!

We need to do something to change this, fast!

We need to STOP BURNING FOSSIL FUELS NOW!
