Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.
I shot this picture [at right on a laptop OR above if you’re on a smart phone ;-)] from the 8th floor of Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colo. just now. My blue solar-charged, all-electric Chevy Bolt (roughly in the center of the photo — it is the ONLY blue vehicle in the photo) is dwarfed by the SUVs and pick-up trucks that are parked right next to it.
Those large vehicles parked next to my Bolt are sucking down gas like there’s no tomorrow!
In so doing, they are contributing heavily to a future where there may indeed be no tomorrow, thanks to a Climate Emergency that is rapidly intensifying — in case you live behind the moon and have not noticed.
Meanwhile, my 2020 Bolt is 100% charged by clean, green, renewable-energy and locally generated electricity, meaning by the solar panels on my garage.
All of the cars next to mine, and in the parking house at Children’s Hospital, COULD be electric. They allĀ also COULD be charged by renewable-energy generated electricity.
Yes. It. Is. Possible.
Actually, it is necessary — IF we want the young people in this hospital to have a future with clean air, healthy lungs and to be living on a planet that is not being destroyed by the incessant burning of filthy, toxic earth and health-destroying fossil fuels!
