SolarChargedDriving.Com is excited to welcome two new interns this fall, Claire Teylouni and Brooke Way.
Teylouni and Way are both sophomore journalism studies majors at the University of Denver. SolarChargedDriving.Com founder and editor Christof Demont-Heinrich teaches at the University of Denver in the Media, Film & Journalism studies department.
Teylouni and Way are the second and third DU students to intern at SolarChargedDriving.Com. Erin Holweger, a DU senior worked for the web site from January to June 2010.
Teylouni and Way will write stories, take pictures, create video content and help promote SolarChargedDriving.Com via various social media outlets.
I hope that a greater percentage of the population will go green in the future because even the smallest step towards environmental change can make a huge difference.

Teylouni, who is from Concord, Mass. hopes to work for a health or environmental focused magazine after she graduates. An Arvada, Colo. resident, Way is aiming to become an on-air television reporter covering politics or entertainment.
Both Teylouni and Way are interested in the environment and in environmental writing and reporting.
Individual action to help the environment
“While I understand why people believe it’s difficult for just one person to change the environment for the better, I think it is still important for everyone to know that they should always try to do their part,” says Teylouni. “Even little changes that people can afford to make will eventually make a big difference in our world.”
Way is also focused on the positive impact individual action can have on the environment.
“I hope that a greater percentage of the population will go green in the future because even the smallest step towards environmental change can make a huge difference,” she says.
Both Teylouni and Way are intrigued by the solar + electric vehicle combination. They say they are excited to learn more about it – and to help others learn more about it as well.
A renewable energy powered world
“I want to learn about what our country or the world would be like if the only energy we used was produced by wind or from the sun,” says Teylouni.
Way voices similar sentiments.
“I think it’s important to be educated about the resources available for improving the environment through solar charged vehicles,” she says.
Teylouni and Way will help SolarChargedDriving.Com generate content while helping us to get word out about the revolutionary potential of solar-charged driving along the way.
We hope you enjoy reading their stories – which we will start publishing soon!
