San Diego gets plugged into solar-charged EV-ing

Sequoia is marrying its solar technologies with EV charging technology built by Coulomb Technologies to extend a ChargePoint® Network throughout San Diego County.

Coulomb Technologies’ electric vehicle charging stations allow drivers to charge their electric vehicles wherever they live, work and shop.

The ChargePoint Network is open to all drivers of plug-in vehicles and provides authentication, management, and real-time control for the networked electric vehicle charging stations through multiple web-based portals for Hosts, Fleet managers, Subscribers, and Utilities.

ChargePoint Network features include: charging status by SMS text or email notification, location of unoccupied charging stations via smart phones, authenticated access to eliminate energy theft, authorized energizing for safety, and Smart Grid integration for utility load management with future V2G capabilities.
