Even if you don’t think about it — or you want to deny it — oil is a finite resource.
And it’s not going to last much longer at the rate we’re consuming, almost certainly not much longer than 100 years. If you have kids like I do (a four- and three-year-old), their kids will be around when the oil is gone.
And then what?
