Sun Miles™ Club
Welcome to SolarChargedDriving.Com's Sun Miles Club. The aim of the club is simple, and, we think, important: To create an online space where the growing and dynamic -- but for now also widely dispersed and scattered -- solar-charged driving community can share ideas, experiences, knowledge, and information with one another and, more generally, share with one another, and the entire world, the joy and excitement of running a car on sun. To this end, SolarChargedDriving offers an electronic forum, blogging, and a video and photo community where solar-charged drivers, and those interested in solar-charged driving, can share photos, videos and, through some of the additional social networking capabilities offered by our social media software program, JomSocial, create new groups and friendships online and perhaps offline as well. You must register with SolarChargedDriving.Com in order to participate in the forum, to blog and/or to participate on the video and photo sharing and social networking community pages. To register for the Sun Miles Club community pages, please use the "register" button in the login menu on the upper left-hand side of your screen, or click here.

What are Sun Miles™?Sun Miles™ (Sun•Mīlz): Solar-powered miles driven by an electric vehicle (EV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) whose batteries have been charged using solar energy.SolarChargedDriving.Com has coined the term Sun Miles™ -- Solar-powered miles driven by an electric vehicle (EV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) whose batteries have been charged using solar energy -- as a way to promote the radical, and radically simple, synergy between solar power and EVs and PHEVs. This synergy has the potential to revolutionize driving and to transform the world into a greener, cleaner, better place. Our aim in creating the Sun Miles™ concept is simple: To inspire as many people as possible to drive an EV or PHEV off of solar energy -- most likely off of solar panels located on a home, garage, and/or, eventually, we hope, solar panels on solar carports in parking lots across America and around the world.
