Commuting on a solar-charged bicycle

The small $200 solar PV array in the background produces enough electricity to power this electric bike up to 30 miles per day at about 25 mph. Cool :-)
We often get e-mails and pictures from readers who are solar-charging their own EVs. The picture above is one of these pictures. It comes from Rich, who writes-->
“I thought you might like this picture of my home-built electric bike being charged by my solar panels that I assembled. $200 of PVs is enough to power about 20 miles of EV transportation at real world speeds and conditions (20-30 mph urban) per sunny day.”
Yes, indeed, we do like this picture, Rich. And the fact that you’re using a bike + sun combination to commute as well.
