World's oil supply drying up -- fast

oil-rigEven if you don't think about it -- or you want to deny it -- oil is a finite resource.

And it's not going to last much longer at the rate we're consuming, almost certainly not much longer than 100 years. If you have kids like I do (a four- and three-year-old), their kids will be around when the oil is gone.

And then what?

Don't believe that the world's oil spigot isn't going to be a never-ending gusher?

Check out this eye-opening Peak Oil ticker from EnergyAndCapital.com.

Yes, the world's rapidly dwindling oil supply is indeed an ongoing -- and world-altering event.

EV-PV: A critical 'marriage'

MINNEAPOLIS -- SolarChargedDriving.Com has been using the term 'synergy' to describe the exciting connection between solar and electric vehicles. But there are other ways to conceptualize this relationship. Marriage, for instance, as in marrying the renewable power of the sun with EVs, or marrying EV and PV.

If the PV-EV marriage is something that excites you, and something you want to learn about, check out this video put out by the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society. It offers a persuasive and interesting overview of the PV-EV 'marriage':
