The red states above are the least favorable for homeowners going solar while the green states are most home solar friendly, according to the website SolarPowerRocks.Com. The red states are all reliable Republican states in U.S. elections. Coincidence? What do you think?

editors-blog-entry3SolarPowerRocks.Com evaluates U.S. states according to their overall solar “friendliness.” According to SolarPowerRocks.Com, the Green states in the map above have created conditions favorable for homeowners to go solar. Meanwhile, the red states above are least favorable for going solar.

Notice how the green states line up with states that typically go “blue” (Democrat) in U.S. presidential elections and the red states align with states that are reliably “red” (Republican) in elections for president.

Coincidence — or not?

What you think?

I am lucky to live in a red state that mostly supports solar although many in AZ are doing everything they can to kill individual ownership. We are getting more utility solar with battery backup which is good also.
